The Total Vitality Score
Total Vitality and how it’s measured.
Total Vital Score
Vital helps you track your health with a single, comprehensive health score: the Total Vitality Score (TV Score). TV Scores range from 0 to 100, with higher scores indicating better biomarkers and overall health.
How it’s calculated
To calculate Total Vitality, each biomarker is individually scored and then combined into a weighted average within one of four categories: Ability, Energy, Resilience, and Wellness. The Total Vitality Score is the simple average of these category scores. It’s straightforward and easy to follow.
Evaluating Biomarkers
Biomarkers are scored based on the assessment range your most recent measurement falls into. There are six ranges:
Optimal – can’t get any better than this!
Excellent – almost perfect
Great – really good but room for improvement
Okay – not great, probably a good idea to improve
Poor – bad, its important to stay out of this range
Critical – very concerning, immediate action needed
Assessment ranges are defined using the best available research for each biomarker. When discretion is needed, Vital sets a high standard, ensuring every metric that falls within a healthy range is a genuine reason for celebration.
